GreenPath Debt Solutions recently invited Michigan elementary-through-high-school students to participate in the nationwide “BE MONEY WI$E” poster contest sponsored by the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC). Southeast Michigan Winners, Christopher Saker, a fifth grade student at Bloomfield’s Way Elementary School, and Harrison Noh, an East Hills Middle School seventh grader, will win $100 and a pizza party for their classes, as will David Ruggles, a seventh grade student from Traverse City. Their posters will also be entered in the national contest held in Washington, DC, in April, Financial Lit
Among the many creative and unique posters received, Ruggles’, Noh’s and Saker’s posters stood out as judges’ favorites, scoring higher points than any of the others. Posters were “graded” a score out of 20 based on interpretation of theme, artwork style and content and creativity.
GreenPath is proud to be part of the NFCC’s “Be Money Wi$e” poster contest. The initiative engages youth in promoting the importance of wise money management while providing instructors with an easy and exciting way to introduce fiscal responsibility to their classes.
